sbobet online 24 When Javier Hernandez was signed by West Ham United in the summer, there was little doubt that the acquisition of the Mexican striker would work out to be an excellent one.

After all, wherever he'd played in the past, be it Guadalajara, Manchester United, Real Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen, plus with his national team, he consistently scores goals. Indeed, bringing in a proven goalscorer at the highest level who was in his prime, and cost a reasonable £16 million from Leverkusen, appeared a pretty failsafe piece of business.

The assumed recipe for success, unfortunately, hasn't entirely worked out, however, as the Hammers have had quite the turbulent season, which has had a detrimental effect on Hernandez's capacity to perform to his best.

Although he's scored a decent seven goals in 24 matches, the man bought in and admired by Slaven Bilic, who was later sacked in November, has found opportunities a lot more difficult to come by since David Moyes was installed as manager last November. sbobet online 24

The fact he's started just five of the 20 games Moyes has been at the helm for depicts his struggles. Even though injuries have played a part, his frustration at his predicament even led to him wanting to leave the Irons in January so he could get himself vital minutes ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

"There has always been speculation as to whether I will stay or leave and I cannot guarantee anything. I have two more years of contract with West Ham, and everything will come up," he recently explained.

"You never know, because in the winter period I wanted to find my way out to have more minutes and could not."

Although he eventually stayed put, all the signs point to him exiting the club in the summer after just one year at the London Stadium.

A brilliant finisher, whose cunning runs in behind the defence, instinctive movement into the box, set-piece threat and energetic defensive pressing make him a huge weapon, it'll certainly be interesting see where the 29-year-old will be plying his trade next term.

Despite his time at West Ham being surprisingly disappointing so far, at least Hernandez has the World Cup in the summer to look forward to. sbobet online 24

Aston Villa's superglue prankster has come unstuck - this is who it is

sbobet online The rogue Aston Villa 'glue man' has finally been revealed by Jack Grealish. Steve Bruce has often talked about the need for his men to stick together as they seek to win promotion but it looks as though those words have been taken too literally! Robert Snodgrass was the first Villa star to share his sticky situation, the Scottish winger sharing a video showing his trainers having been glued down inside his locker.

And recently Grealish was targeted, with the same fate having befallen his footwear. Grealish shared the footage on Instagram with the caption "The glueman strikes again...". And now, in an interview on the club's drive-time, he revealed the prankster. "It’s Glenn Whelan!" he said. "I thought it was Gabby or Snoddy, but Snoddy got done one of the times! "But yes, there you have it. It's Whelo!"

Slavisa Jokanovic claims his Fulham side are playing without the fear of missing out of automatic promotion as the chase for the top-two hots up. The Cottagers have the chance to land the first blow of the weekend as they take on already-relegated and rock-bottom Sunderland at home on Friday night. Cardiff City then travel to Hull City on Saturday while outsiders Aston Villa entertain Derby County at the same time. sbobet online

All three teams can still finish as runners-up behind champions, Wolves, but the Bluebirds have a one-point advantage so they only need to match the results of those below them to get the job done. Jokanovic, who has lifted his side from the bottom half of the table before Christmas to within a point of second place with two games remaining, said: “We must be focused on trying to find our best performance (against Sunderland).

“We cannot think about what is going to happen after and if they (Cardiff) will be under pressure or not, it’s not under my control. “Now we have some kind of the positive pressure before we play Sunderland, we know it’s important to try and not make mistakes. “For Cardiff, if they win these two games we cannot do anything. “In front of us is two ways to be successful, one is short and another is longer and we must be ready for both ways.

“If you don’t finish second, more or less this is a normal situation for us because we have never been in this position during the season and at the end, be brave, make our job and for another side waiting for what will happen. “After this game there will be another important game for us but now we are only focused on Sunderland.” sbobet online

Michael Dawson to leave Hull and return to Nottingham Forest on two-year deal

bet Michael Dawson is to rejoin Nottingham Forest when his contract with Hull expires in the summer. Dawson, who has been capped four times by England, has agreed a two-year deal and will make the switch on July 1.

The 34-year-old defender came through the ranks of Forest's academy as a youngster, making his professional debut at the club in a 3-2 loss to Walsall in 2002. He made almost 100 appearances for the club before joining Tottenham where he was part of the squad that won the League Cup in 2008. bet

Dawson, who has amassed over 300 Premier League appearances, joined Hull in 2014 and captained the side to promotion from the Championship via the play-offs in 2016. The centre-back made 41 appearances in all competitions for the Tigers last season, scoring three goals. bet
